I own a 1996 Honda del Sol SI with a d16y8. I bought a set of Megan headers for this car and apparently they are only meant for the z6 engine. These headers have cause me so many problems and so much money. When I put them on, they did not fit up right so I took the car to a shop where they did something to get it all hooked up. Only problem is that my exhaust hung down so low is that my catalytic converter scraped the ground and blew out my o2 sensor. I then replaced my cat with a test pipe and swapped out the o2 sensor. Now, my exhaust is rattling terribly and according to the shop, is what is causing the ticking noise. (i originally took it to the shop to get the ticking noise looked at because it had all the symptoms of needing a valve adjustment) I am either looking for a good way to fix this or looking for a WHOLE new exhaust system i.e. headers, pipes, test pipes, and exhaust. not wanting to spend a **** ton of money but will look. I have a long road trip coming up...need to fix it.

After all that headache (and money spent) why didn't you just swap the stock manifold back on 'til you could save up for the correct header?

believe it or not, i did...i put the stock manifold back on and had to replace the cat but now it is rattling terribly and making the ticking noise.
