Show me your guns.
Just to keep up with different brands and types of guns out there, what are you spraying your paint with?
Show me your guns/paint equipment. Im sure this will get off topic, oh well. Not much happens in the Paint & Body section of H-T anyways. Im waiting for pictures to upload and ill get them on here.

Re: Show me your guns.
At home I've been using a devilbiss SLG and a gas-powered 8hp wheelbarrow compressor in conjunction with a cheapo harborfreight purple "hvlp" and a mini-purple detail gun. Always use a respirator (for me, activated charcoal mask or whatever those vapor masks are.)
The SLG is alright but it eats massive amounts of air and lays base slightly grainy and mottles metallic if you don't do it right, will spit in pressure drops and I typically have to buff my clear out. For what I paid though I'm not really complaining.

Re: Show me your guns.
Well since my phone refuses to upload pictures at the moment.
Im working with a Warwick 881H w/1.4mm, all around gun. Have a Sata 3000k but I dont use it often. I am a lot more fluent with the warwick. Its a great all around gun.

Re: Show me your guns.
The integra in the pictures will be finished this week and I will post more pictures of it together. The car came to me completely destroyed. I had to section in new pieces in the quarter panel. They used some metal screen and some sort of bondo in the quarter panel and it was a complete hack job. This car has wayyyy tooo many hours into it.
I almost didnt want to do the car. But he wanted it done. Money is money.

I'm a outside painter(dont paint below 60 degrees). I don't mind wetsanding and buffing.I know some people hate bodywork!!

Re: Show me your guns.
Base gun: purple Harbor Freight hvlp regular automotive gun with 1.4 tip.
Clear gun: Walmart "Cambell" chrome automotive spray gun, 2.0(when spraying flakes),1.4 tip when spraying regular clear coat.
Harbor Freight 8 gallon compressor with "oil" motor. I never have a problem with the tank getting to low.I have mines refill at 80psi.

Re: Show me your guns.
I personally use Transstar Euro Clearcoat for just about all of my jobs. Its not too tough on my pockets and it doesnt have a yellow tint that screws with color matching that you get with other cheaper clears.
The pictures of that bike you posted look great. For the setup your using. Id like to see what you could do in a booth with a real gun. Great work.
How many pounds of pressure are you spraying your clear?
