Clunk in rear when brake is depressed Honda CRV 2003
I have a Honda CRV2003 AWD with 25,000 miles on it. Lately, when the brake pedal is depressed at stoplights, etc. I hear a clunking sound which is coming from the rear. When I let up the pedal it stops. What is the most likely problem? I will be taking it in for service but I want to get some kind of idea what it might be prior to going. Perhaps someone can assist me.

Hi - Thanks for views and one response. Took it to mechanic (reliable)...loose heat shield. Inspected it...also looked at brakes. Problem was loose heat shield. They did not charge me. Even drove me home when I dropped it off and would have picked me up if I didn't have someone to do it. Cheers.
