Tire Pressure/VSA light stays on?
Hey, I've been coming to these forum awhile now looking for answers for problems to my Honda and most of the time I find an answer. Which is a huge help.
I have a 09 Accord EX-L, and 3 days ago I had a flat and had to put on the spare, the car was fine but after a few times driving it, the tire pressure light came on, the VSA light with the '!' beside it, and the brake light, like the emergency brake was on. I checked all the air in the tires, and it was fine, so I figured with the spare, I guess the sensor just thinks its low, and with the spare tire being smaller, making the car a little unbalanced, that's why the VSA and brake light is on.
Well, I put on the new tire, checked all the tires again with the right PSI, and of course shutting the car off to reset the sensors. But, all three lights are still on. Does anyone know why? Is there someway to reset it? Thanks

Re: Tire Pressure/VSA light stays on?
Have you driven the car yet?
The light should go off after the new tire is installed on the wheel, the pressure is correct on all 4 wheels with the sensor and the car is driven. IIRC the car needs to be driven a speeds above 19 mph to get all of the sensors to transmit.
The TPMS letters are a MIL. It can come on if the spare is installed or if there is a malfunction of the TPMS.
I have no clue as to why the other lights are on.

I have a 2012 Honda Pilot, yesterday I had a flat tire as I was driving, put the spare tire on and drove 100 miles home. As I drove home the VSA and low tire pressure lights were on. Today I changed my tires and the VSA light is still on?

Pull the battery plug for 10 min. If after that the VSA light is still on, then use the 9-4 pins trick and read the blink codes. You may have more than one and the first one is the one which really matters.

Additionally the VSA system probably just needs to be reinitialized. I dont know if it can be done with out a scantool on this model year. Either way you need a scan tool to pull the codes or reinitialize the system.
