Re: F20B FAQ
there seem to be alot of ?s about simple things the f20b swap is simple. think of it as a h22 except for the internals, everything out side is the same. so what ever you would do for a h22 do that. just to note the h22 is obd2 3 wire iacv, if your obd1 like me just get a 96 and below IM. the dizzy plugs right up you just need to add the blue wire inside the dizzy to get RPM signal. i know some motors have the crank sensor on the motor thats as simple as extending a wire from there to the dizzy. the h22 TB is much bigger than the f20b (auto). i dont know if any of this info will help but just somethings that sound like they should be put out again.

that has all of the basic info youre going to need. There are a few things specific to the F20B, and those things are on several of the pages in this thread. First figure out if your going to use the F20B trans, or since you have a GSR you could do the F2B/H2B so you can retain your trans, have better axle alignment, and be able to use a much better trans. then you wouldnt have to find axles linkages and the like (because you already have it)

Re: F20B FAQ
also i wanted to see if you guys thought that the stock compression ratio is too high for a 6psi jackson supercharger on 91octane. tuning isnt a problem as itll be tuned by bisimoto or church auto

Re: F20B FAQ
Only issue is, you'd have to be quite low on coolant to have the surging problem he's having. But yes it has to be bled otherwise it could cause numerous problems, including no heat and improper cooling.
Check the cooling system out to eliminate that possiblity. check for vacuum leaks coming from any parts you've removed that have gaskets. Do you have a chipped ecu in there? Which TB are you using? Just need to know to help out

Re: F20B FAQ
should hav said this in the 1st post. I'm wanting to do this because i found a good deal on a f20b 5sp lsd and ecu. The guy said it will drop right in just wire in my distributor wires to the f20b plug and the ecu make up for no crank sensor, wire in 1 extra knock sensor and 3 wires from vtec to ecu. Is this true or just a bunch of crap to sell me the engine. PLEASE HELP

Re: F20B FAQ
First take your Accord harness and put it on the F20B as it looks on your F23. Plug in as many sensors you can. I start with the injectors and go from there. Some will need to be extended, added (knock sensor if you choose to run it or if you have an engine management you can do without it) others might have to be changed. With it being a vtec F23, there's no need to add any vtec wires. As for the crank sensor, trace the crank sensor wires from your F23 oil pump up through your harness. Cut them from there leaving enough slack to reach the dizzy. Then pull them up towards the distributor and add them to the plug. If you do it that way, not only will you get your crank signal, but you dont have to mess around with the wires down to the ECU.
Thats how I've done it and it's never failed me. In fact, my swap wiring looks like stock harnesses do

Re: F20B FAQ
for the price i paid it may have been custom i just went to my parts supplier and said i wanted 1,said he couldnt find 1 anywhere for it then all of the sudden he had a price for a cometic 1 direct from the states for me.
if they made me 1 though theyl make you 1 too and you wont have to worry bout the crap KIWI to U.S exchange rate or international shipping so price will be much better
it is however still a triple layer so dont see it affecting my compresion much,if they make you 1 custom see if theyl do a dual layer instead of a triple
