Re: (canuckr)
Pros: functional, allows you to see out the back window
Cons: doesn't flow with the car like the OEM wing does, price, availibility
I had a replica for a while. Got sick of it.

Only with the full Mugen JDM front.
Otherwise it just looks wrong.</TD></TR></TABLE>
how about a cwest front , also yes this belongs in the appearance forum and i think its been discussed to death. To each his own. Its good to have oem and the ricer wing so i can interchange when possible. but wingless is my preference

i guess since my R is the one in the photos with the Mugen wing.. I'd have to go with a thumbs up, lol. To each his/her own, though.
Edit: Aw phooey.. since I'm a trial user again, I can't vote.

If you don't drive your Type R at high speed a lot - it's really not a mod you need.
I think it flows well with the car though.

For some reason I have a feeling you're just here to try and stir the pot. Perhaps their aero parts aren't your style, but how do you figure wind tunnel developed aero parts are "rice?"

im not trying to stir anything up but if you think i am, ill stop. i just think you people dont call MUGEN rice is because their a well known name to honda, but if it was a no name company, im sure people will be calling their products rice.

Look you people are missing the big picture here.
True the Mugen wing will not make a noticable difference to most people on the track, but the important aspectof the design of this wing is that it provides a perfectly flat surface for which to put your drinks on when working on your car.
Mugen designers needed somewhere to place there drinks so the wing was created.

Re: (Kavehman)
to call this piece rice is just ludicrous. you can go ahead and call it ugly. but i doubt very highly that there are many aero parts in production (discontinued) that have had as much testing done as this wing. and from what i've read it makes a noticeable difference keeping your tail from "dancing" at high speeds.
p.s. i want one

Re: Mugen wing poll (00TypeR1071)
I do not think it looks good. However, I gave it a thumbsup because of its proved effect on the car at high speeds.
