legal motor?
hey im trying to buy a motor off the streets.......how can anyone tell if the motor is stolen....and what does the police look for to tell if its stolen...does anybody know?

dood help him out at least. a lot of us buy motors off the 'streets', meaning we get them second hand from other owners. as for wether its stolen, that would depend. how much are u paying. if it seem stoo good to be true it prob is. check the serial. usually its on the front of the block. maybe ask for the vin number of the car it came out of and do a carfax report.

When you buy the motor make the person sign a contract with you. Put down the serial number on the block, date, print name and sign name. Also you could probably ask for the serial number on the block and call the police station to see if they have any reports on it.
