Default 94 Civic Vtec interference head

hey tried search and nothing! i heard that all hondas have interference heads, is this true? my uncles d16 blew a timing belt with 100k miles on the car, is he screwed? thanks

interference heads will bend valves and all sorts of other bad things when they loose timing. I am not 100% sure but I think that hondas are interference motors. I would just pull the head off and check out the valve train. He might have gotten lucky.

I think you will be ok, I did the same thing on my old D16z6 and I was fine. I think it is kind of luck of the draw on a d series, B series wwill difinetly destroy the head.

couldi take off the valve cover and turn the timing sprocket by hand to see if I see any smashing? would that work?? any ideas
