ah just to give me peace of mind I guess in case I lose the oil return line from the turbo or something. Or the pressurised one to the turbo. I like to drive it hard at times and I just worry about stuff.

Honda generators have shut offs and I remember my brother's old supra turbo wouldn't start. The dipstick showed no oil, we filled then it started. The manual mentioned the shut off as a safety feature if the oil got low.....makes sense to throw a switch in there to save a motor.

hmm i see. yea thats a legit case you're stating. all i know is that we have a low oil light lol
i guess thats about as close as i can get. i was considering getting the g-force oil pan mod that has those plates that help keep oil in the pan during aggressive cornering. but i doubt im going to get it.

I didn't know there was an aftermarket pan. Do you mean the low pressure light that looks like a little oil can with a drip or is there a different light on our dash?

How low were you that made your light come on? Ouch btw! I can't imagine the motor liked that at 8k! lol

there isnt, its these plates that you have to weld into the oem pan. if im not mistaken, i think i saw a place that sells them pre-welded. but yea im talking about that light lol

idk how low it was, but i was doing autocross when it came on for a brief second when i was hitting a u-turn. and i put in about half a quart of royal purple and it never came on again. lol

Mugen, Spoon and Hytech all make one that I have seen. The Mugen and Spoon are not direct bolt-ins IIRC, the Hytech is the K20Z3 oil pan modified. You also should change oil pumps, a modified OEM S2k pump does wonders. Now low oil shut-off, if you are boosted you should be running a oil pressure gauge, on of the big three most people suggest.

would be awesome if they had that feature.

and not saying that it cant happen but losing any oil lines to the turbo would be a hard thing to do if they've been properly secured. 3 years of running a boosted setup i never experience any loose lines or anything like that.

I wouldn't worry about it too much.

p.s. oil pressure meters are a handy thing for boosted cars.
