How does a honda manual transmission work?
im trying to learn more about them, ik how to drive manual n all but im not 100% on how they work , like for honda the transmission is in the front so idk how the shifter reaches the tranny all the way in the front for inline engines like bmw ik the tranny is right under and shifter goes directly into tranny , but for hondas is there some kind if bars or wat? and the clutch ik is a pressure hose is this how all manuals clutches are?!?!

The shifter is connected via cables to the shift lever mechanism on the trans. The clutch is a hydraulic system, that uses a master cylinder and a slave cylinder. Press on the master via the clutch pedal, it displaces fluid to the slave which then moves the clutch fork.

The shifter is connected via cables to the shift lever mechanism on the trans. The clutch is a hydraulic system, that uses a master cylinder and a slave cylinder. Press on the master via the clutch pedal, it displaces fluid to the slave which then moves the clutch fork.

Yup, there are two cables. Basically there is a lever arm that telescopes in and out of the transmission, and will move from up, to either forwards or backwards from the cable.
The first cable selects the gear, and is moved when the shifter moves forwards or backwards. This selects the gear, the second cable selects the gear set, and moves when the shifter is moved side to side.
When the transmission is in neutral, the selection lever is in the middle position for both cables. When you shift it into gear, the selection lever on the transmission will slide in or out of the transmission, and then it will lock into place forward or backwards.
Certain Civic transmissions (I think some D and B series trannys) are hydraulicly shifted, but all the H/F trannys use cable shifters.

All as in all brands or all Hondas?

'79-'04 Mustangs use a cable between the clutch pedal and clutch fork.
