How to get a smoother ride.
I have koni yellow ground control, eibach springs, and top hats on my 95 hatch, it's a major improvement from the stock ****, but what else can I do to it to get the smoothest ride possible? I was thinking about getting a skunk 2 camper kit, but that wouldn't really help with the smoothness. I lowered it 2 inches, I'm not tryna be Mr. Super Slammed, I just want the best ride out of my hatch.

For ride quality, I am absolutely amazed and happy with the ride, function and price of my OEM ITR springs/struts on my 92 EH3. Lowered the stock height between 1-1.25" and maintained the factory ride. It's definitely not the best suspension out there, but it suits my mods, driving style and taste.

Perhaps your bushings are all worn out. A master bushing kit and a solid alignment will make your car precise and smooth.
What spring rates are you running?

generally, the more you move towards performance handling, the further away you go from ride quality and comfort. A civic can have very impressive handling for what it is. But the ride is going to suck. Plain and simple. Some say sway bars and other bars help, maybe a little, but its mostly bogus. I say either go all out with stiff springs or stock. nice choice on koni/GC by the way. I love mine, amazing quality.

extended top hats would help too. i put them on mine with eibachs and kyb agxs, after years of factor mounts, and was surprised it actually rode better.

You'd be suprised at how much bushings will make or break your suspension...
I know it's not suspension but the most apparent display of how effective replacing bushings can be are the shifter bushings. You can go from like 1.5 inches of very free play on either side of your shifter to virtually no free play at all.
Best of luck...

usually when you lower the car you're seeking looks and performance, not comfort. What size rims/tires are you running, obviously a thicker sidewall would help.

yea cant really lower a car and expect good ride quality and a thicker tire does help but i swear my 195/50/15s rode better than these 195/60/14s on these steelies im forced to run for the moment

I was slammed with out a camber kit, and never hydroplaned one time. I live in WA, we get lots of rain.
I am still lowered without a camber kit, lowered 2.5" running -1.8/9*F and -1.9/2* in rear. Never had the slightest issue.
It's been said many times in the suspension forum by many knowledgeable people.
I think it was something with pre load, and another thing.
I always thought you could, but they say other wise.
