Default Valve Cover Gasket replacement HELP!

I need to change my gasket on my valve cover.
There is oil leaking out of the valve cover and also into the spark plugs.

I was thinking of buying ebay oem set and doing it myself.

I think i tried it before and the valve cover itself was really hard to pull off.

Any advice or suggestions?

Valvecover is like the easiest to fix i dont know how ur having problems with it...

remove all bolts that hold the calvecover between the valvecover and the head wedge a very thing screw driver and try to pry it up...

i just get the Autozone gasket for my cars when they need it comes with the sparkplug gaskets and the valvecover itself

Just did it the other on my integra and it was easy. Just be sur to remove the rubber thing that is under all 8 bolts, if not you will have a hard time trying to remove the valve cover.

Valve cover is super easy to pull. Just remove the spark plug holders and the several nuts that hold the VC on. Make sure you honda-bond the square corners when you install the new gasket. I get my gaskets from OEM suppliers, they may ship a little packet of Honda-bond with the gasket -- can't remember.

I would stay away from eBay stuff and just get a set from an OEM supplier... http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.org/...ystemcomp=List All&vinnoT=&trim=&trans=&view=normal 95

it could be sealed on with something stupid, or maybe you missed a nut..?
and get OEM from honda, its like 45-55 bucks and it comes with everything you need, gasket and all the plastic type washers for the plugs and bolts.

wish my girl could change the vc gasket she can barely pump gas in it!

sometimes the honda bond holds it down a bit, try a small pry bar on each corner and wiggle it till it comes loose!

Just tap the corner of the vc with a rubber mallet. Safer than prying

You know.... There's no need to be douchebags about it.

woooo "it's easy, my girlfriend can do it" - douche.

If you have all of the nuts off and are still having problems getting off the valve cover, try using a flat head screwdriver.

Wrona is the only person who gave OP crap about it, and he was only kidding. Besides, it is kind of funny because VCs are normally so easy to remove...

OP if you need to remove it with prying/tapping, be VERY careful about using any implements with metal edges. The VC is soft aluminum that damages easily and you don't want anything interfering with the seal. Not that the outer edge is really where the seal happens but you can't be too careful.

Yep,easy job, just use Hondabond around the curved part that goes over the cam,or some other sealant.I've used the FelPro gasket set from Autozone before,it was good quality and came with everything (vc gasket, spark plug tube seals, and grommets).
