What did you add to your toolbox today?
I couldn't find a thread to show off the die grinder I bought and this section seemed fitting for a new thread on tools. Maybe others will add their new tool additions and comment on tools they like or dislike.
I've been looking for a loooong time for this exact die grinder and one finally popped up on eBay, I committed to winning it at any cost because I simply needed to have it.
It's a Dotco 10L1101-36, it's the extended version, about 11" long with the air fitting. It spins up to 28,000 rpm almost instantly at only 90 psi. It has incredible torque and seems to push through any job with ease. Dotco is renowned for quality and I fully expect this grinder to last me for life.

Not sure if it counts, but I went ahead and grabbed a Snap On KRZ series with a matching rolling tool cart the other day....... But my new valve spring compressor is the newest addition to the group lol.

I have a whole chest full of high end ingersol cyclone ($500-$1000+) die grinders and Snap On die grinders (similiar) I dont let the guys use as they were crapping out just as often as the cheap harbor freight professional lines die grinders ($30) we've since bought. This is running on a 50HP air system with multiple refrigerated air dryers, oilers, and traps everywhere. Expensive air tools are over-rated in my opinion.

My Dotco purchase was good for my situation simply because i'll only use it for personal hobby and diy stuff, not so much professional daily-duty. I was sick of the cheesy stubby die grinder I was using so I figured I'd go big so I wouldn't have to replace it (hopefully ever).

My old shitty Impact Wrench failed me a couple of weeks ago. So i thought might as well buy the rolls royce this time.
1/2" Ingersoll Rand 2135QTi. 1468Nm reverse torque!! This thing really does the job!

Re: What did you add to your toolbox today?
Finally got a second hood. My Speedglas 9100xx was just too big. This one is the standard Jackson HSL100, and a gold lens. Much lighter! Also got a new torch head, some crafter series back caps, and a bunch of different large gas lenses (large #12 in the picture compared to a small #8). The dummy who I bought my welder from cut the back off to fit a normal WP20 cap (the crafter series torch uses the same parts for the most part, but the back caps fit differently even though its the same threads), so I just said **** it and got a new torch head

Added a 8" ryobi bench grinder today. Obviously not jet-quality, but the damn thing is pretty much SILENT, smooth, and plenty powerful for the mild metal fab I'll be doing!

I just brought these left and right handed lock wire pliers, being a snap-on dealer does have its benifits sometimes.

Re: What did you add to your toolbox today?
Picked up a 14" chop saw from a cnc shop that is closing down for $35.
go on craigslist for the tampa bay area if you guys need any CNC machines, major shop tools. This guy is selling everything.
