never keep "hush hush" about ANYTHING when it comes to your insurance company, they are ****** and will use any excuse to not cover you in accident, if your insurance wont alllow swaps find one that will.

I have State Farm and have full coverage. I have a JDM H22 in my hatch and my insurance agent has a folder with all my paper work, reciepts, and pictures of the car filed in his office. No matter what, you will not get full value of your parts, but if you haggle enough you will get a decent settlement if anything is to happen. I have had my past two cars stolen while having State Farm and when it comes to claiming parts and values it becomes a real hassle. They will not charge you extra for insurance, but just tell them what is done to your car and politely ask them if the will keep a folder to hold your receipts and documentation just incase anything should happen. Everything works a lot better in the end if you stay organized and truthful with your agent.

with AAA..they will partially pay for any mods with exception..general mait. items..so upgraded brakes, battery , tires exhaust..etc. cuz these are items ud normally have to replace over time..
the other mod s would normally be depreciated over the life of ur car..meaning , if ur car is 5 yrs old..they d depreciate the loss from the yr of ur car and not from the date of the install..sucks..but its better than nothing

They shouldn't give you any problems. If you don't daily drive your car and use it more for racing, then you might want to look into some companies that provide "Specialty Insurance". They have some good places around here I might switch one of my cars to simply because you declare the value of the car that you want to insure it for. Some of these places even offer some pretty good deals, but it also depends on how much you drive the car. Mine is a 92 and just hit 60,000 miles, so I might switch just so I can have EVERYTHING covered.
