factory Defect??????? Very pissed!!! water in spare tire well!!!!
I would like to know if anyone has had problems with their rear hatch leaking.....
the past two times its rained last week and today (its rainy heavy right now!!!) i have had the bottom of my rear hatch filled with atleast 2-3 inches of water!!!!! I thought at first I might of had a leak from underneath but now getting up this morning and not having driven my car today I know now that my hatch is leaking and leaking bad!!!!! has anyone else had this problem???? I am taking it to Honda on Monday morning and raising hell!!!!!! my Si is a 2004 and only a couple of months old !!!! I cant find were its leaking from but I have to get it fixed !!!!! I love my honda and it kills me to think its being hurt!!! i take such good care of it that things like this just make me sick!!!! I expected alot more from honda especially sice this is my 6th honda, 2nd Si... Also i removed my spare tire, jack, carpet and flimsy board from the back hatch to save on weight... this was one of the first mods i made to my car and I have had the car for a few months now and this is the first problem I have had with the car..... any help I would really appreciate it ..... thanks -Drew JDM04EP3@aol.com

Had the same problem with my RSX. Just took it to the dealership and had them reseal the rubber seal around the hatch. Problem solved.

I have an 02 ep3 and havn't had any water problems...
This maybe be a dumb question but is there any chance water came up through the hole that the spare tire tie down screws into?

It's a honda trait. My GS-R had the problem and the first time it rained checked my EP3 and sure enough there was water in the wheel well.
Took 3 trips to the dealer to fix the problem. Ended up being a hole (1/8 dia) in the sheet metal above the right rear wheel. Plugged with some silicon and problem is fixed until the silicon wears out.
