Quick question here. I am going to be running the following:
Skunk2 Stage II cams, valves, springs, retainers, Type-S Pistons, Skunk2 Intake Manifold, 2.5" exhaust, modified DC Sports header.
Where should I set my VTEC crossover? Right now with the ECU I'm running, it's hitting at 5500 RPM, which feels way too high. Also, will a dyno-tuned chipped ECU handle this setup adequately?

I think to get the most out of that setup would be to run a Hondata...but thats just me...I always do things overkill

oh and by the way, with jun cams, vtec engangement will be RAISED to atleast 5900 perhaps higher. The idle lobe alone is bigger than the stock vtec lobe, lol its intense.

Anyone have any experiance with S2 Stage 1's? Im considering those after a header and vafc, and possiblely Type-S pistons. From what i've gathered, it increases the powerband all throught the rev range up to the stock redline, as opposed to the stock cams where they start dropping off around 7k. Is this correct guys? Point me to any dynos that you know of, thanks.

Anyone know how JUN cams will work with stock JDM 10.6 pistons? I can't afford the Type-S install. I guess it's close to the same as Crower Stage III's VTEC duration/lift.

Well, i would think that it would work fine, but bumping up the compression will definatly yeild more horsepower from those high-lift cams.

Jun cams and valvetrain hit a 190 UNTUNED basline run. Vtec crossover is at 6000 RPM's

why cant the stock operating intake work with jun cams?
it worked fine for me.
if you didnt have the secondaries open then the lack of air flow would choke the cams in vtec.
and my vtec crossover is stock 4900. and that is on the JUN ecu. you just have to have very very good exhaust flow so they wont bog or flutter.
i make 220 whp on a mustang dyno. totally untuned! i dont have any back to back cam runs though. jun cams.

Did you dyno tune your car? What cam gear settings are you at with the Jun cams?

if your going FI then you must run FI cams. im not sure if turbo cams are the same as sc, but check into it

Im running the crower 2s with the big idle lobes, so far they have been good except for destroying the auto tensioner......other than that, Im happy with the low end.....I dont have numbers yet, i have to fix that little tensioner right quick before the dyno.

How do the larger idle lobes effect the idle...is it really ruff/noisy?
And do they cuase the car to have better low-end & Mid-range...as well as top end obviously?
Did your gas milage get better worse or stay about the same (assuming you are not in VTEC all the time now).

You will notice that there is **** for overlap, in fact none. So this is why H23 cams suck after 5300 rpm in NA applications. The poor engine just can't breathe. It is a good cam for low end torque and boosted apps (duh).
