Readings way off with it running on max.

Also, run some dye in the system.

Also, do not crank...

Re: Overheatingggg.help

I have been there. Does it run hot when running or at idle or both? Determine that first.

I think my HG is blown, I have been through most of the symptoms.

Re: Radio Pocket?

the stock honda radio is a little larger than DIN so that pocket will not fit 100%, but you can get a block off plate if you want or use the pocket and get a civic dash kit to fill in the space.

Re: Remote start and alarm not working

DEI is aftermarket, you have an aftermarket system, pull the panel under the steering column and see if you see an alarm brain, box anything.

There was a honda factory alarm accessory available to...

Re: 99 civic coupe 1.6 non-VTEC hard to start after running while engine is hot

Are you tech savvy? If so check the fuel pressure and fuel pressure regulator. The flooded condition can be the FPR.

Re: 94 Del Sol - Just poked a hole in something important HELP!!!

Might be the expansion valve for the AC, if you saw a greenish fluid. Does the AC still work?

I have used that grommet myself without an issue, all he had to do was take off the grommet poke a...

Re: 94 Del Sol - Just poked a hole in something important HELP!!!

Are you talking about the black grommet on the firewall next to the battery?

Behind that might be the Expansion valve for the AC.

Re: 99 civic coupe 1.6 non-VTEC hard to start after running while engine is hot

Can you hear the fuel pump prime, the clicking noise near the glove box.

Does it start fine the first start of the day?

I would test fuel pressure and fuel pressure regulator.

You said the code comes back, then check the actual wiring to the IACV, pull back the harness tape or covering inspect to see if frayed burnt etc.

Check inside the connector for corrosion, if...

Re: 00 Civic lx -- Midas says the thermal protector for the A/C compressor is bad

The thermal switch is replaceable, I am not sure if a good way to test it. I am more inclined to think the clutches are going on the compressor.

After 12 years you can replace the compressor it...

Re: 98 ex Misfiring

Do the compression check, also do a wet compression check on the low cyl if one comes up low, just squirt some oil in that spark plug hole and redo the test on that cyl, if it is low it is the rings....

Re: 98 ex Misfiring

Ever get a misfire cel?

What are the miles.

Do a compression check, see if one cyl is down or low.

Might have a bad valve since your burning oil.

3 grand is crazy you can get a rebuilt...

Re: Oil loss/burn

If he does a compression test, and one cyl is down, he can then do a wet test to see if it goes up a decent amount then chances are it is the rings.

Re: Del sol rough idle?

How many miles on it?

Check your compression.

Also adjust the valves, sounds a little noisy.

Re: A/c compressor blew out the back. Buying an ebay kit? No orifice tube?
